It was a big step for me. To be part of a big theatre production. To use a set that was used on Broadway, is a very cool experience. I left a little a little note for future stage crews. Because you can’t repel a theatre set of that magnitude. #theatre #theatrelife #thelifeofatech #theuniverseasiseeit #youngfrankenstein #itsatrap #starwars #starwarsintheatre #admiralackbar (at The Carpenter Performing Arts Center)

Theatre Life.

A couple weeks ago I got hired to be a flyman for Musical Theatre West in Long Beach, CA. They’re doing Young Frankenstein and I have to admit it’s wayyyyy better than I thought it would be. That being said, it’s been pretty cool to work for a truly professional theatre company. Not that where i’ve worked before hasn’t been professional, it’s just that here it’s all business and everything is really organized and getting paid on time, plus overtime, plus double time and being treated like an actual human being is a real thing. Plus the set is the actual set used on Broadway! How cool is that?

It’s times like this where i’m really glad I chose this career. This is what gives me hope to keep going. Even if I do plan to move up and try to get hired as a stage manager, I know that I can get there eventually. I just gotta get my foot in the door and try really hard to keep working for this company. I like it here. I could get used to it.

Plus, working musicals is just awesome.
